Located in Saranac MI, 30 minutes from Michigan’s second largest city. Some may consider Forest Hills rustic and it definitely is that but it has all the essentials for a clothing optional venue.
Anything this venue lacks in size and scope is covered by these welcoming hospitality. The staff and members are welcoming and extremely hospitable. On the first visit had a hard time reaching someone in the office to gain entry at the main gate. A new staff person was occupied and didn’t hear the intercom. A member came along and called up and made sure I was able to get access and situated for my visit. After the gate was opened they even backed up to let me go first..
The salt water filtrate pool is one of the highlights of this venue. Heated to 85 degrees it rarely felt below that at any time during my visit. There are many pool noodles to use for floating and something other laces should consider water pad flotation beds for just laying while getting some sun floating in the water.
Across the shallow end of the L shaped poll is net used for weekly water volleyball games. Just outside the pool under a pavilion is an outdoor cooking area where food is prepared (mostly burgers on the grill) on weekends. Though the menu is limited the prices are quite reasonable.
The three main toilets (located near the pool) are clean and accessible including one in the clubhouse and another in the laundry area. The laundry area features one washing machine and three dryers all coin operated.
Amenities club house with pool table tv reading tons of board games and card decks, cafe open on weekends, heated outdoor salt water pool, hot tub, laundry room tent and rv camping sites nature trails.
Day passes, a five pass punch card and seasonal memberships are available for a stay at Forest Hills Club.
