A group with the motto "Free The Nipple" argued that the law violates the Constitution by treating men and women differently. The Supreme Court said Monday that it will not take up a challenge to a New Hampshire city ordinance banning women from appearing topless in public. A group with the motto "Free The Nipple"…

It's so silly a nipple is just a nipple be it male, female, trans or whatever all 7 billion people on the planet and most billions of mammals have them, with all that's wrong in this world wasting time on banning the exposure of nipples is plain stupid, get over it.

Perhaps it is for the better? The court is pretty conservative right now.

Refusing to hear an appeal doesn't mean anything legally. Appeals are refused all the time only to be heard when a better case comes along. It does not set a precedent.

What I didn't see is any statement of why the appeal was refused. That would have been the most important aspect of the story. Journalists today are often too lazy to do the research and news outlets can't be bothered to put out the whole story. If the Supreme Court were "anti-nipplefreedom" they would have taken it and ruled in favor of the law. The 10th circuit ruling would no longer be valid. That didn't happen.

The defendants need to look to the New Hamshire legislature for their next step.
