The Secret Life of a Naturist Weekly, Special 100th Episode

As the 100th episode was fast approaching, I knew I needed a special story to commemorate the event.

Immediately, I thought about going back to Dan and Johnny’s lives just before leaving for university and meeting for the first time.

So, the idea of presenting it as a comic book was the best way to go. This is the first time I used a combination of computer imagery with the characters as well as using acrylic paints and paint markers.

I wrote my ten page story with a panel by panel description first. After a review and corrections I was ready to begin the drawing process. As always, I wanted a little twist to the story so I reworked the panels from Episodes 11 and 12 from March 2018. It’s what I like to call my “This Is Us” moment tying the past with the present.

I am very happy with how this turned out considering the deadline I was working on. I hope you enjoy it as much as I had in presenting it to you.

Bonus features include an 8 page Photo Gallery as well as the two page story “Perfect” presented in the comic anthology Rainbow Reflections: Body Image for Queer Men is only available with the online Digital Download purchase or the 8″ x 10″ print version through Blurb.ca with the following link. Makes for a great Christmas gift!

About the author: natfabart

Artist and Naturist. Last of 11 siblings born in Laval Quebec, now living in Nova Scotia with my husband John.

I am a self-taught artist and have always loved to draw. I created his first comic book super-hero when he was six and over the span of 20 years created 90 books. My biggest fans were the many nieces and nephews of my large family. I had my first published cartoon strip "The Spice of Life" in two local Montreal papers from 1993 to 1995.

I moved to Nova Scotia in 1997 and started to paint watercolours after falling in love with the province and its people. John then introduced to acrylics in 2006 and had a few paintings in auctions for local charities. I am a tongue cancer survivor that I was operated for in November of 2016. I enjoy living life to the fullest and being nude as much as possible. I enjoy swimming, reading, yoga and meditation.
