A new survey reveals what nudists are really like: They are mostly over age 45, have a college degree and live in suburban and rural areas. They care about the environment and their main political issues are tax reform, terrorism and saving endangered species.
Those who prefer clothing-optional resorts are really just like you and me, according to a new survey sponsored by the American Association for Nude Recreation.
They like to travel. They vote. They play tennis, cook and participate in beach clean-ups. Their major political concerns are tax reform, terrorism and saving endangered species.
The association, based in Kissimmee, advocates for nudity and nude recreation “in appropriate settings while educating and informing society of their value and enjoyment,” according to its website. The association’s Florida branch lists two South Florida resorts among its members: the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort in Sunny Isles Beach in Miami-Dade County and Sunsport Gardens in Loxahatchee in western Palm Beach County.
