A total of 737 people took part in the skinny dip as they bid farewell to summer and welcomed the new autumn season.
A 737-strong crowd fully embraced the liberating experience in Northumberland as they dropped their clothes and ran into the sea. Laughter and shrieks of joy could be heard as the dippers gathered on Sunday at sunrise for the mass dive, a way for them to bid farewell to summer and welcome the Autumn Equinox. Some of the naked crowd held hands as they ran into the sea off the coast of Druridge Bay.
The skinny-dippers made the most of the experience as they splashed and paddled into the cold water. One participant, however, still hid their modesty behind a Northumberland flag.
